MID AUTUMN FESTIVAL 2013 – BRINGING HAPPY SMILES TO CHILDREN
Following in the humane tradition “The good leaves protect the worn-out leaves” and “Do unto others as you would have them done unto you” and Uncle Ho’s teaching on taking care of the development of young generation “Children are like flower buds on the trees, those know to well eating, sleeping, studying are good ”, A&C, as its tradition, helped underprivileged children to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival. Every year, when people around the country are excited to celebrate MID-autumn festival, A&C also bring the happiness of celebrating mid-autumn to children throughout the country. This year, on 14 September 2013 , A&C cooperated with local authorities of 3 communes: My Binh, Binh Thanh and Binh Hoa Hung, Duc Hue District, Long An Province to hold the program “Mid-autumn moon night 2013” for children here.
Even though it rained heavily, A&C’s members were strongly determined to hold the program with the enthusiastic supports from children here.
After playing team games, children joined folk games such as blindman’s bluff, ring toss, etc. and received a lot of interesting gifts. They were very happy and excited to play these games.
At 4:00p.m, the show “Mid-autumn moon night” officially started and received happy and excited support and cheers from children and their parents. The dedicated performances on stage were performed by company’s staff themselves.
In this program, Mr. Bui Van Kha – Deputy General Director, President of Trade Union, and other Executive Board of the company presented 9 bicycles and 16 valuable gifts to 25 disadvantaged children who had excellent study performance.
The program ended with the delivery of mid-autumn gifts to all attended children. Over 700 gifts were given to children in this Mid-autumn festival.
One more Mid-autumn festival had come and A&C really brought the happiness to underprivileged children in Long An. Though the gifts were not of material values, they present warm love to children. The program already ended, but memorable images and good impressions about local people still remain. For those local people, this Mid-autumn festival might be warmer than previous ones – the warmth of love.
