On 14 October 2023, the International Institute of Internal Auditors in Vietnam (IIA Vietnam) organized the 2023 Internal Audit Annual Conference with the participation of more than 200 attendees from National Assembly Economic Committee, Ministry of Finance, Stock Exchange, Securities Depository Center, Professional Associations, BOD members, Supervisory Boards, Audit Committees, BOM of Enterprises.  

The 2023 Annual Internal Audit Conference was a place for connection and sharing professional knowledge and practical experience among leading experts in the field of Internal Audit and Corporate Governance in Vietnam and in the region.

The topics discussed at the conference this year included the followings:

• International practices and trends in Internal Auditing.
• Data audit - an important factor for Internal Audit in digital transformation
• Strategy to develop internal audit resources in methodical, professional and modern manner according to the international standards
• Information technology applied to Internal Audit - an inevitable trend
• Integrate ESG topics into Internal Audit
• The role of Internal Audit in preventing and detecting fraud and supporting tools

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh - General Director of A&C Consulting Company Limited, and Vice Chairman of IIA Vietnam gave a presentation summarizing the results of the 2023 internal audit survey, thereby providing many updated information on internal audit activities in Vietnam.

The 2023 Annual Internal Audit Conference has been successfully with a lot of useful and valuable information to the Internal Audit profession in Vietnam. We hope that IIA Vietnam will continue developing, contributing to growth of the Internal Audit profession in Vietnam, making Vietnam stand to the same level with the Internal Audit professional communities globally.
