On 17 July 2026, Baker Tilly A&C had the honour of attending 2026 Business Roundtable organised by the Faculty of Accounting at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) on the theme ‘Connecting Academia and Business: A Multi-faceted Perspective on Accounting and Auditing Education and Career Development in the New Context’. The conference brought together representatives from international professional organisations, audit and consultancy firms, domestic and international businesses, and leading industry experts to discuss strategies for developing high-quality human resources for the accounting and auditing sector.

Associate Professor, Dr. Le Thi My Hanh – Head of the Department of Accounting – delivered the closing remarks at the conference

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh, General Director of Baker Tilly A&C Consulting, participated in the discussion and shared insights from a business perspective on the increasingly stringent demands placed on the workforce in the context of digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), ESG and international standards, which are profoundly reshaping the accounting and auditing profession. He emphasised that, in addition to a solid professional foundation, students need to be equipped with analytical thinking skills utilising technology, adaptability and professional ethics to meet the demands of the labour market in this new era.

These are all directions that align with the practical needs of the market and current trends in the accounting and auditing profession.
