Baker Tilly A&C joyfully celebrates Vietnamese Women’s Day on 20 October – A day filled with joy

October is here once again, bringing with it love and heartfelt wishes for the ladies. Joining in the festive spirit to celebrate Vietnamese Women’s Day on 20 October, the Baker Tilly A&C family came together to create a day brimming with energy, laughter and memorable moments, featuring a series of special activities that ran from morning until evening.

Morning – Pickleball takes off: a playground for ‘formidable’ players

The 20 October celebrations got off to an energetic start with a lively Pickleball tournament, held at Cộng Hòa Garden. The tournament brought together 40 players from all operational departments of the Company’s Head Office, divided into 20 mixed doubles pairs—each comprising one seeded player and a partner of their choice—and organised into five groups for a round-robin knockout stage. From the players taking part to the supporters, everyone immersed themselves in the fervent sporting atmosphere; the thrilling rallies, the unexpected shots, along with laughter and enthusiastic cheering, created a morning brimming with vitality. On the court, all barriers seemed to melt away, leaving only team spirit, camaraderie and unbridled joy. It was a truly explosive start, fuelling the event and making it all the more complete and memorable.

At the conclusion of the sports day in the morning, first place went to the team comprising Mr Lê Hữu Tư (AA Division) and Ms Phạm Phùng Thanh Thảo (A&C Consultancy), second place went to the team comprising Mr Trần Hoàng Việt (Construction Audit Division) and Ms Thái Thị Bích Vân (AA Division), whilst joint third place was awarded to the team comprising Ms Phạm Thị Thư Hương (Construction Audit Division) and Mr Huỳnh Hữu Khoa (Đồng Khởi Company) and the team comprising Mr Phạm Ngọc Anh (AA Division) and Ms Nguyễn Thị Phương Thảo (Accounting Department). In addition, the organising committee also presented special awards, including the Contribution Award, the Healthy and Beautiful Youth Award and the Dynamic Award, to the six outstanding teams that progressed to the next round.

Afternoon – Terrarium Workshop: Plant a garden, plant more smiles

Following the lively sports day in the morning, the programme celebrating Vietnamese Women’s Day on 20 October continued with a Terrarium Workshop in the afternoon. Representatives from each specialist department were selected to take part in the workshop, transforming each glass jar into a miniature garden with its own unique touch. Afterwards, each team chose their finest terrarium products for the judging panel to assess and score. From tiny twigs and layers of green moss to each charming pebble, everyone arranged the elements with great care, giving free rein to their creativity and infusing each piece with joy. 

After listening to the competing teams’ presentations on the significance of each product, the judging panel conducted a thorough assessment and selected the first-place winner as A&C Consulting Company, the second-place winner as the AA Division, and the third-place winner as the Construction Audit Division; they also awarded two consolation prizes to products from the AA Division and the Human Resources and Administration Department.

Not only did the event sow green seedlings, it also sowed smiles, bringing people together through moments of relaxation and sharing. Plant a garden, plant more smiles – plant a small garden, fill it with smiles.

Evening – an intimate gathering and a chance to chat and share stories

The day, brimming with energy, drew to a close with an intimate, cosy party featuring the much-anticipated in-house karaoke session! This was a wonderful opportunity to bridge any gaps in age or department, helping staff of all generations—from new recruits to more experienced colleagues—to get to know one another, chat and understand each other better.

One day – three colours – countless memories!

From the spirited sporting events and the fun-filled Terarium Workshop to the cosy afternoon party, the traditional 20 October programme at Baker Tilly A&C is not only an occasion to honour our wonderful women but also an opportunity for the Baker Tilly A&C family to share, bond and create beautiful memories on our journey together.
