Baker Tilly A&C and UEH-CELG faculty of economics: turning collaboration into action and connecting education with emerging business challenges

Building on the collaboration between the School of Economics, Law and State Management (UEH-CELG) and Baker Tilly A&C, on 19 August 2026, the Faculty of Economics (UEH-CELG) and Baker Tilly A&C Consulting signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the 2026–2027 period, translating the broader cooperation framework into practical initiatives at the Faculty level.

The MOA was signed by Dr. Nguyen Kim Duc, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, and Ms. Duong Thi Hong Huong, Deputy General Director of A&C Consulting Co., Ltd. Under the agreement, two parties will strengthen collaboration in ESG, professional research, education and training, seminars, talent development, and expert engagement.

Bringing ESG into Education and Research

A key focus of the MOA is the joint organization of internationally oriented co-branded certificate programs, seminars in the Mekong Delta region, and seminars for students and lecturers. These activities will provide opportunities to share practical insights into ESG and sustainability issues that businesses are currently addressing.

In addition, the two parties plan to explore the integration of ESG factors into business and asset valuation, opening up new perspectives on the connection between ESG and finance, investment, and valuation practices.

Connecting Knowledge with Emerging Market Issues

As part of the collaboration, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh, General Director of A&C Consulting Co., Ltd., delivered a sharing session with lecturers from the Faculty of Economics on “Vietnam’s Carbon Policy Framework and Carbon Market.”

The discussion focused on recent developments in Vietnam’s carbon policies and carbon market, providing practical perspectives on issues that businesses, investors, and the future economic workforce will need to consider in the transition towards a greener economy.

This session also reflects an important direction pursued by Baker Tilly A&C in its collaboration with educational institutions: not only bringing professional knowledge into the classroom but also working with universities to explore emerging issues that are taking shape in the market and directly affecting business operations.

Expanding Practical Opportunities for Learners

Beyond ESG, the MOA places a strong emphasis on connecting education with real-world business practices through internship programs, professional seminars, real-world case studies, and the participation of Baker Tilly A&C professionals in UEH’s practitioner lecturer/expert programs

In particular, the two parties plan to develop practical case studies covering areas such as valuation, M&A, investment, real estate, human resources management, and ESG in agriculture, giving students greater opportunities to engage with real-world business challenges.

From the Classroom to the Market

For Baker Tilly A&C, the MOA with the Faculty of Economics – UEH represents another step in strengthening and deepening its collaboration with UEH-CELG, with the aim of developing a more integrated model connecting education, research, experts, and businesses.

In particular, through initiatives focusing on ESG, sustainability, and the carbon market, Baker Tilly A&C seeks to connect students and lecturers with emerging market developments while creating greater opportunities for academic knowledge and practical consulting experience to come together and grow.
