Baker Tilly A&C participated in a series of seminars on “Information System Audit” held by the Accounting Faculty – College of Business, UEH

Implementing the MOU signed between the Accounting Faculty, College of Business, UEH and Baker Tilly A&C on professional and training coordination, in October and early November 2023, the expert from Baker Tilly A&C - Mr. Chau Thanh Tai, Senior Manager in charge of MIS and Training Service offered sharing about "Information System Audit" topic to nearly 1,000 third-year students of the Accounting Faculty, College of Business, UEH.

A series of seminars on “Information System Audit” held by the Accounting Faculty - College of Business, UEH 

The seminar was held to provide the students with updates on knowledge and practical application of information system audit according to the international good practices. The following main contents were presented and shared at the seminar:

• Overview of Information System and Information Technology (IT);

• Identification of IT risks based on reference frames;

• Methodology on auditing Information System/Information Technology;

• Auditing financial information system and notable audit procedures.

 “The strong development of information technology has opened up great potential for economic advancement, thereby bringing us more opportunities and also challenges to the audit profession. In such context, the awareness of your roles as future professionals and technological capabilities is extremely important.” – Mr. Chau Thanh Tai shared with the students at the seminar.

The seminar took place successfully with positive and proactive discussions and sharing from the students as well as the speaker.

Hopefully, with the knowledge shared at the seminar, the students will have an overview of information technology system audit, a currently hot topic. Through the process of active learning and training, it is expected that you will soon become positive and important factors in the financial - accounting - auditing professional community in the future.
